Questions

Ground Ops, Answered

Straight answers to what operators ask before they switch.

What is Ground Ops?
Ground Ops is field service management software for small and mid-sized service businesses. It handles work orders, scheduling, crew dispatch, checklists, invoicing, and client notifications on a single platform that reconfigures itself for your trade. It is built and operated by Tres Lomas Collective, LLC, and it runs a real cleaning and handyman company, Turnover Fix & Shine, every day.
How much does Ground Ops cost?
Ground Ops is $39 per month for up to 150 work orders, and the base rises with volume: $69 up to 300 work orders, $99 up to 600, $139 up to 1,200, and $189 above that. Your owner seat is included. Office staff, dispatchers and supervisors are $15 per month each. Field technicians and subcontractors are $3 per work order and never more than $15 per month, so a subcontractor who runs one job costs three dollars and one who runs none costs nothing. Your accountant gets a free login. Additional trades are $19 per month each. Every module is included on every account, with no higher plan and no feature add-ons.
What industries does Ground Ops support?
Ground Ops supports more than 25 trades, including residential and commercial cleaning, handyman services, power washing, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, roofing and exteriors, landscaping and lawn, pest control, construction, home improvement, appliance repair, restoration, locksmith, auto detailing, painting, carpet cleaning, window cleaning, pool service, junk removal, garage door, fencing, flooring, elevator service, solar installation, laundry service, short-term rental turnover, smart home, and EV charging. Selecting a trade activates its skill tags, checklist templates, and compliance rules.
How is Ground Ops different from Jobber, ServiceTitan, and ZenMaid?
Three differences. First, Ground Ops enforces compliance with a hard stop: if a crew member is missing a required certification or document, the dispatch is blocked rather than flagged with a warning. Every competitor only warns. Second, Ground Ops is bilingual by default across both the crew app and client notifications, with no plugin or configuration. Third, one account runs more than one trade, so a company doing both cleaning and handyman work uses a single platform instead of two. ZenMaid serves cleaning only, ServiceTitan focuses on HVAC and plumbing at enterprise pricing, and Jobber offers broad but shallow multi-industry support.
What is a compliance hard stop?
A compliance hard stop blocks a work order from being dispatched when an assigned crew member is missing a required document or certification. An HVAC technician without an active EPA 608 cannot be scheduled on a refrigerant job. A supervisor can override the block, but the override requires a written reason that is logged to the activity record. Ground Ops enforces this at the scheduling level rather than warning about it after the fact.
Does Ground Ops have a mobile app for crews?
Yes. Crews use a native mobile app to see their schedule, start and complete work orders, run checklists, capture before-and-after photos, flag issues, and collect signatures. No laptop is required in the field. Office and admin work runs on desktop web.
Does Ground Ops work in Spanish?
Yes. Language is set per person, not per account. A crew member whose language is Spanish sees the app in Spanish while an English-speaking supervisor sees the same records in English. Client notifications go out in the client's language over SMS, WhatsApp, or email according to their stated preference. This is built in rather than added through a translation plugin.
Can one account run more than one trade?
Yes. You pick a primary industry and add others as needed. Each added industry activates its own skill tags, checklist templates, and compliance rules on the same account. Your crew keeps one login and one schedule, and work orders across trades appear on the same day view.
Who is Ground Ops built for?
Ground Ops is built for owner-operators and small service companies, from a solo operator through three-person crews up to fifteen-person shops. The target customer is a business that has outgrown a whiteboard and group texts but cannot justify enterprise field service software priced above $500 per month.
